Project
SCET-TUNISIE conducted the feasibility study for the protection of part of the Congolese coastline, the section from Pointe-Noire to the estuary of Bas Kouilou, divided into 2 main sectors:
- Sector 1: from Pointe-Noire Bay to Pointe Indienne (about 20 km)
- Sector 2: from Pointe Indienne to the lower Kouilou Estuary (about 30 km)
This study led to the design of a set of structures for an effective protection against marine erosions: breakwater, development of protective riders in rockfill at the foot of the cliffs, and construction of a gryne implantation of a cob in front of the breakwaters diagnosis of the current situation of the coastline.
